any idea what the hell these boards are- never seen the like before- they appear to be ww2 era

Perhaps doorman at the Waldorf Astoria, but not German military.

Could be Dutch Police (Staats Politie) Officers shoulderboards, used before 1945. Not sure about it, lets wait for an other commend.

thanks thats interesting as these came in a group which included some netherlands Arbeits dienst insignia so that could be a good call
