    late war wachtmantel

I know these were supposed to be worn over the fielduniform but still then it's really a very large size mantel. I'm 1m95 tall and weight near 100 kg and swimm in it!

No markings found at all, neither inside pocket where I would expect them. I didn't measure it but will do so soon.

The wool is clearly of very poor quality and different shades. Some napwear but in undamaged condition. Note also de RAD style button on the inside strap - have seen this before on late(r) war greatcoats. Named to a certain 'Füchsel'. No hood (or sign of removed hood) present.

    Hope you like it.

    Regards
    Jan

Nice coat, I really like these. I would love to have this one. The button inside is from the DAF, these were also sometimes used on Panzer uniforms. I had one of these with the same charcoal gray blanket lining and DAF button, it was dated 1942.

                Hello
Nice original coat. Did you look for markings inside the arms lining ? I once saw markings there.

I did P-Y, non found...These markings should normally be at the beginning of the arms lining from the inside right?

Hereby a better overall picture of the coat. i'll try to make picture of it in natural light together with another one I have in order to show the difference in shade of the wool.
