Waffen IR65 15th company

I was admiring a nice Infantry Regiment 65 waffenrock the buttons are for the 15th company. I could only find information that IR65 had 14 companies. Anyone have information the 15th did exist? The Rock is Gepruft stamp to the 15th company so I tend to believe the buttons are not replacements? Also I believe either the Ciphers have lost their silver finish over the years or have achieved this patina?

The pips and the cyphers look weird. Maybe they are replacements?

I think the pips and cyphers are fine - the silver wash has worn off, exposing the base metal.

They look a bit strange form to me.

Do you mean the shape of the numerals? The look like the RH pattern to me.

Yes that's what I ment, and the pips have a high edge. Im absolutely no expert but maybe just the pips and ciphers are put on the rock post war?

You can never say never, but I have seen this style of rank pip on 'Rocks before - it's just a variation, IMO.
