SS Panzer tabs /w skulls, original or fake?

Hi all,

Recently offered a large collection which included these. I immediately assume most SS stuff is fake since this was purchased from a antique store, but you never know- SS items are not my specialty, so forgive me if they are terrible fakes .

Skulls look good - tabs look ugly. So ugly, they might be good...

But they are for sure not SS...

I know 13 different panzer skull pattern. Most of the pattern exist in an early and a late war version (below are a few examples - but not all of them). These skulls are none of them. I have never seen them on original wraps/ tabs.

The tabs are really ugly. I cannot imagine that a German Panzermann (elite forces within the army) had worn such ugly insignia.

Look though this thread, you will see many fine example of orginal pieces. It is a great learning tool!

Imo the taps are absolutely rubbish, typical copies from the 90th. The skulls I´ve also never seen but the can be good.
