    Heer Sumptarn Smock

What do members think of this Sumpftarn (Swamp) Pattern Smock, researching the patterns I find it to be a Wehrmacht Sumpmuster 44. Any information on whether the smocks good or not would be appreciated. Sorry a couple of shots haven't turn out as well as expected.

        Hello,
I tried recently with the repro one I have...
Pick one of the free thread I see in the pics, get a lighter, if the thread burns fast (don't worry...it stops! or you can also remove one long piece from the smock and set it on fire alone...) then the thread is a new synthetic...if it burns slowly then is a natural cotton thread.
        If It's real...

          Hello Dagoromagna,
The lighter and UV tests are alright as far as they go. But if someone gets a old camouflage material and reworks it, then they've no value. I thought the the stamp DKG may say something to collectors or perhaps the styling and stitching patterns may say something also to collectors. Still thanks for the post.

Agree with other . IT is reproduction.

Sturm is company which made reproductions for reenactors.

Thanks for the posts. I did have a look for the first time through the Sturm catalogue, must say its fairly comprehensive. Copies of US, Bundeswehr and some British equipment. However don't recall seeing anything at all, concerning copies of Third Reich uniforms - dont they do them at anymore ? or are they sold out ?
