With that patch I'd suspect something West-German (Police, Grenze, etc)...

          Agreed... West german!
I doubt its wehrmacht with what otherwise could have been explained as a campaign shield ghost!
Are there traces of removed (mdern) labels on the inside lining. Always a good red flag!

Thanks guys;he claims its where a Krim or Kuban shield went.I was thinking maybe Zoll?Shouldn't it have 6 buttons on it also?It does have a Holters tag inside. Were they in business after the war?or it could have be added?

That tag looks period so a campaign shield ghost after all?

Now I'll take back my "West-German" argument, as it's now moving into details I know nothing about ^^
                  Good luck!

Private purchase officers (as opposed to enlisted government issued).
Are there signs of removed shoulderboards? (open seams)

It is odd that if the sleeve shows the removal of a campaign shield, the coat was obviouslt used ...so why is the tailor tag left blank???
(nameless). Not an immediate red flag but strange...

Here's an LAH uniform with the exact same Holters tailor tag and got shot down... (does not mean tag is fake!)

I just don't know...We need better close up pictures...

I don't see any red flags on this one, to be honest. Looks like a well-made period piece.
