They are old looking, but not necessarily old. They are on extremely poor quality wool, if it is even wool, and appear to be chemically aged. I have seen this pattern on Police green too, the chemical aging may have done that to the cloth. There are some that like this type, personally I do not.

J-O, for my money they are repros - and like Richard, I do not think they are necessarily that old. The chemicals fakers are using to age their wares do nasty things to wool if they overdo it.

A friend of mine bought them a few years back to make himself a field marshal (fake of course) but it never happened.
