Waffenfarben

I had a relative who near then end of the war, transferred into Feldersatz-Bataillon 81, 97. Jäger-Division. What Waffenfarbe color would have been his shoulder boards? Green for the Jäger-Division or would it be White since he was now Infantry?

He had transferred in the fall of 1944 over from the Luftwaffe, Flak Regiment 29, possibly as one of Goring’s gifts. He was a Feldwebel and was kia 20.04.1945.

Your information seems correct as the former Feldersatz-Bataillon 97 became (on Sept. 1, 1943) Feldersatz-Bataillon 81. Both provided replacements for the 97th Jaeger Division; my guess would be Jaeger green.
