M34 Rgt 104 heer Oberfeldwebel board for comment

    Hi All,

Second board of the evening is a regiment 104 M34 (I think this style are referred to as M34) board. It looks OK to me, and there is actually a clear divide between the two pieces of cloth sewn together, even if it doesn't look too clear in the photos.

Anything you have to say will be gratefully received, as ever.

          Agree.

          One little addition, it's a M35 board, not a M34. M34 boards have a fieldgrey obverse.

          Best regards,
          Andreas

Nice original board! Also a wider version to allow for the 3 numbers for Regt. Very nice. I would love to own it....... DL.

                Gentlemen,

As always, posting here brings a slew of interesting information. I was not aware of the way heer shoulderboards changed every year between 1933 and 1936. I did wonder if maybe the width of this board was a bad sign, that maybe the proportions meant it was a fake, but its extra width does make sense because it had to carry three numbers, plus NCO tresse.

Many thanks for your informative comments, for authenticating the board, and for the extra photos illustrating M33 and M34 boards. This is all great stuff.

                Best regards as always,

                Mark
