M36 tunic

Guys.

I bought this one not long ago.

The boards that was with the tunic were latewar crappy salty ones,...def not original to the tunic. The ones that are on it now are those that replaced them.

Its nice to see tunics unitstamped.

If you see a pair of early pointy arty boards, please let me know...would be so nice to complete this one.

Why would you replace boards that match the unit stamp? If he was a Fahnrich he would wear the silver metal insignia, after sometime in 1942 (do not remember the month but it is in Vol. two on Angolia/Schlicht) he would also wear the double loops. Better to look for loops unless you added the numbers or know the boards were not part of the set.

The boards were added by the seller, and also the ciphers.

So i know they are not part of the set....thats why im looking for new ones.

Okay, those will be very hard to find. 99% of the embroidered boards for a Jr. NCO that survive will be sew-in. Good luck, it can take years to find the perfect piece but one is out there somewhere probably .

Jessen has a nice pair of M36 enlisted straps with embroidered cyphers for 42nd Arty Rgt. Too bad they are not NCO straps.

nice tunic ! bottom pockets are flattened and first aid pocket is removed - but still lovely one !!!

I agree, there are board sets and other stuff I have been looking for over 15 years, it is easier now with the internet but it is still very hard to find the correct pieces. Just never give up and do not settle for substitutes.
