I have the ring that I purchased along with the Panzer badge, from the same guy.
The ring is marked 900 or 800 and all around the band it says:
"DUM VIVIMUS VIVAMUS"
Any and all comments in regards to the ring wuold be greatly appreciated

Looks like a solider's trench made type piece...
