    Inf. Hauptmann waffenrock authentication needed

I want to ask your opinion on this Inf. Hauptmann waffenrock.
I have been in touch with another collector who has an issue with the cuff tabs. Because of the fine strands of dark green cloth coming through the stitch holes.
Since I am a novice collector and only starting to learn, I would like you to have a look at these pictures and share your thoughts on them before I proceed and buy this waffenrock.

    Thanks in advance!

        Cuff tabs

        Dear Sbas,

You have nothing to worry about. These are original. Re-attaching cufftabs to a Waffenrock sleeve would be very difficult and immediately obvious.

These cufftabs are fine and not re-sewn.

Enjoy your collecting -- I love the Waffenrocks and it is the focus of my collecting today. Be sure to get the WAFFENROCK book by my friends Tim Curley and Neil Stewart. It includes many photos of the details of uniform construction as well as the insignia.

        Regards,

        Mike

This waffenrock is no doubt original and in excellent condition, but my concern are the cuff tabs and their unbalanced look. When you consider the light wear everywhere on the tunic, why then do the cuff tabs appear sloppy with uneven and worn lines? In addition, the sewing on these tabs look suspect to me.

            Nice tunic
I dont see anything wrong or not original, also the tabs are sewn nicely and I see no marks of any previous insignia which is the usual give away.

If you are not happy I am willing to buy this from you at appropriate price!

It looks like a nice waffenrock, but closer picture of front side showing colartabs together wouldnt hurt. Little chance that something was messed with, but for better examination ask for them.

collar tabs and cuff tabs are original sewn. It´s a 100% original Waffenrock in top condition. Condition of collar tabs and cuff tabs are identical. One cuff tab is a litlle bit dirty or yellowed but everything is wartime sewn.

                      Mark,
have a look at this pic.compare the white piping and the cuff tab. Both have a light yellowing /dirt on the surface. Everything is matching 100%

All parts fits perfect together. Nothing wrong with it.

Gorgeous overall...specifically I am just commenting on the breast eagle, I have never seen the bullion done on any eagle body like that, I love it. I'm sure others have, I just don't get out much.

Some signs of wear to any tunic's cuffs is quite natural and an unavoidable result of the owner scraping them against furniture, folding his arms etc.

Everything appears to be in order with this garment.

The areas I am referring to are the stands of dark green cloth coming through some of the stitch holes, and areas that appear to be over stitched. This is something I have not typically seen on a heer waffenrock, thus my caution. BTW...I looked at my waffenrock collection, specifically the cuff tabs, and I don't see these traits on any of them.

The tunic is beautiful and the tabs no doubt original. Perhaps I am being over critical.
