    medical officer collar tabs?

    Hi,

Could I please have some opinions on these collar tabs?

I believe they are cornflower blue which means medical, although they do look rather light blue!

What I'm unsure of is I thought the blue piping should just run down the middle of the actual tab and not two strips between the silver braid?

    Many thanks

    Jay

These are IMO medical or may also be TSD. If I had to go with on I would say TSD.

      Hi mate,

I did check out some transport/supply shoulder boards (couldn't find any tabs!) And the waffenfarbe was quite a lot lighter blue.

They are WAY darker than my old veteran bring back medical officer's tab.

Thank you for the replies .

I've found this TSD tunic and tend to agree with you.

What would Medical tabs look like then? Like I said on my first post?

            Cheers

            Jay

Usually dark blue, TSD is "Cobalt blue" and Transport generally is a powder or light blue that can fade to almost grey. This is not a great photo but you can see the piping on this early WH Austrian pattern board for medical, this is typical.

Sorry I said way darker ... I meant way LIGHTER, mine are the same colour as the strap above.

                Sorry for any confusion.

Thank you for all the excellent replies chaps!

And thank you Laurence for the photo of the medical tabs.

I have a medical officers visor cap which also came with the gentlemans shoulder boards but unfortunately not his tabs. So I've been trying to track some down but haven't had any luck yet

I think I've tracked some down.

These look more like it to me!

They are alot darker than the photo apparently!!

Those look like TSD also. Medical is navy blue. Like a pea coat color almost. I would try to match the tabs to the color of the board piping.
