Original tunic, replaced eagle (you can also see the cut in the fabric which they used to insert the sewing machine)

Where are the small hooks for the internal suspenders?

They were sometimes removed by the wearer.

A nicely worn authentic tunic. The eagle has definitely been reapplied post-war, however.

And yes, the hooks were either removed by the wearer, lost, or removed by a collector years later. It's more common to find tunics without them than with IMO. The suspenders themselves even more so. I personally am still on the hunt for a single internal suspender for presentation purposes.

I don't see the cut, do you mean the slit on the lining?

I believe the collar insignia have been replaced as well (as the eagle).

They opened the front panel along the seam of the chest dart above the right pocket and then hand sewed it shut.

The tabs are late RH very early Heer (early 1930s) and I agree look recently added.

Looks like they might have open the other side and smeared glue there? Looks like a line shaped stain running form the eagle wreath towards the lapel? I always am interested to see how that do this.
