    Converted tunic

    I have been toying with the idea of making a replcia officers tunic out of a couple of replica enlisted M43s that I have, and have hit a bit of a snag. The tunics are slightly different shades so when I add the cuffs to one jacket the color will be a bit off. Would this have been an issue or normal for a converted tunic?
    Thanks;
    Christian

    Yes but differences were usually fairly close, you do not want to get laughed of the "battlefield". You can use Rit color remover and then mix dye shades to try to redye the mismatched cuffs to match the tunic etc. That is what we used to do with Swedish tunics back in the early reenacting days before you could buy tunics.
