Great find, but I doubt it has been there since 1945. Probably placed in there by a collector. I often place SB, CT and heck anything small into the pockets when I show off my items to friends. Unfortunately the collector forgot to take it out, in this case. Your gain their loss.

Hey, guys. Today once again I took the jacket in my hands. I was looking for another schoulder board - ofcourse I have not found it. But something else caught my attention. In the place where previously shoulder board was , I felt a piece of material. I started to look again under the lining. I found the chevron. It convinced me that the shoulder board is from this jacket. Chevron perfevt fit to the trace on sleeve.

I'm little scarry - strange day.

Good chance on the chevron but probably not the shoulderstrap; not only wrong branch (SS as opposed to Heer) but wrong waffenfarbe as well.

Congrat's, it's always fun to find surprises like that, I found some orders tucked into the sleeve cuff lining of a tunic once, it had the guys name and unit written on it.
