Original Wachtmantel/Uebermantel/surcoat, looks like a typical example.

            Thanks Chris,
I had told the seller I felt it was 100% original but wanted to get some opinions other than mine. Jackboot

It looks like it reads "Uniformwerke Erlangan", Erlangen is a city in Bavaria. The 2005 is an inventory or control number, it is original no worries there. If you do not want it I am interested. Mike you can PM me.

I think and hope it the 2005 thing was an (bad) attempt at a joke. The coat is 100% original and a very nice example. I do not know what the selling price was but it is a great example of a Mid-War issue coat, better than the example I have now.

One must be very careful when jokeing around as we can have a problem as Michael has now!
Best of Luck Michael, I bet it will sell soon as nice as it is!
