LW officer shoulder boards, original WW2 or DDR?

Hi!
I would like to have opinions about this pair of shoulder boards: are they german WW2 period or DDR ones?
Appearentely it seems with silver-aluminium braid, but I have fear it is "plastic" made, such a DDR period ones: in fact, if you touch them, they are.."warm", and not cold as aluminium must be..

I do like the 'weave' of the wool. From what I can see, they appear to be pre-45.
