Volkssturm Armbands - 1x Red; 1x Olive

Hi Everyone,

Can I ask for second opinions on a couple of armbands please.

First up is the regular Volkssturm armband which I believe to be a good one. Second is Volkssturm armband in an olive coloured fabric. Not one I've seen before although I do have a good feeling about it. I would welcome the thoughts of others though.

Several vendors sell versions of the second arm band shown as a reproduction, for instance: http://www.reddickmilitaria.com/mm5/...ode=20-450-000 It is not exactly the same but I am suspicious of the example you show. The wear looks artificial and the lack of bleed-through is not typical of period printed insignia. It looks more like modern screen printing to me. The standard armband posted looks fine.
