These are captured pre-war French military buttons.

        Phillpp ,
Mine are the EXACT same , only instead of the white ties , they are camouflaged.
The pants came with the original suspenders ,which are white webbing.
        thanks for the help .

          Hello Owen,

maybe they were made by the same manufacturer?
Some photos would be great to compare them - maybe they have much more in common.

By the way - if you want to get rid of them please drop me a line.

          Kind regards,
          Philipp

            P ,
Its got to be from the same maker .
The parka has the buttons on the arms !

It looks like a WW2 Vet got a mint set from ta store house and took it home as a hunting outfit , its been rained on once , with minor water coming through some seams ..........but super clean , just like the day it was made.

I posted it over on USMF new finds section as I cant post here .

              Hello Owen,

              that's a super sweet set.
It really looks like they were made by the same manufacturer - it's like they are twins.

                  perfect !

Nothing wrong with these pants and buttons !
Captured cloth and buttons are often encountered on Camo equipment especially the winter items.
A few examples were pictured in my book.
