    Greatcoats

    Hi

I think greatcoats are rearly underated.

    Here is my 1st 1.

Did they have liners in them, as mine has pressstuds all through?

I have one as well. Because yours has press studs Im inclined to think it was modified for a winter liner. The overcoat you have pictured is the earlier bottle green collar variety that was replaced by the all feldgrau version and later the greatcoat. Greatcoats have the very large collar which protected better against the cold wind on the steppes of Russia.

Yours also appears to have a tailors label which makes me think it was officer private purchase. Cant see if it has boards or not. Qaulity seems to be there though. Mine is RBN numbered with a khaki brown interior.
