Hi, This came in yesterday, what do you think? Is it just me or does the beak look funny?

Hi Laurence,

Alot of these Kriegsmarine eagles come in weird looks.This is machine embroidered,and there is a large range different looking types.I have seen weirder.
It has every thing i like in this type of insignia.Enhancement threads on the front inbetween the wings and body.( i have one done in black thread).
Nice two tone thread effect on the rear.And throw in an oil cloth(mesh linen) type rear backing.(this was added to give the front wool backing some reinforcement when sewing the insignia on)

It looks fine.

I havn't seen threads running horizontal on the eagles chest before. In such a prominant way as this.
This doesn't mean it's incorrect, but I'd like to see more examples to compare... It does seem OK in every other respect.
As stated, there are many many variations of this eagle
