WWII Panzer Shoulder Boards? Local Antique store pickup, help needed on ID.

Picked up these items from a local antique mall, The lady said that they had just recently come into the shop with a few other wwii era military items from the son of the veteran who brought them home. They have some mothing to the back of them. I ended up paing $50 for them to take the chance that they might be real. What rank, Branch, and Era would these be from? Any help is greatly appreciated
