Army EM strap constructed like SS strap?

Here's what I think is an army strap, it is a strange shade of green, next to an SS strap for comparison. It has the typical narrow tongue found on SS straps, material on underside is black cotton.
Would appreciate any comments.

the shade of green wouldn t bother me. it is a early fabric wich you can spot in numerous M36 jackets mostly.
