    Trousers Luftwaffe

    Hello,
    Could these trousers be original?

    Thanks in advance!

You may get more responses on the Luftwaffe forum (below the SS uniform forum) and I think that you will need to post a close up of the stampings and details of the lining.

I have to say that while I like the wool, I am not a fan of the lining, stampings or the close up of the thread used and how it was sewn on the rear buckle. The thread looks to be cotton/polyester. Impossible to say for sure in just a photo, but the thread does not look convincing too me.

Do they have strips sewn into the inside of the leg cuffs? The general cut and pocket and fly details look pretty good, but you will need some more close ups I believe.

        Thank you!

Here are some close ups of the leg cuffs, the stamping and the lining.
If you need some special pics, let me know!

I will also try to link this thread to the Luftwaffe forum.

        Thanks,

I agree with Phild, I like the wool but I don't like the construction details (lining, stampings and the thread used )....So, I'd pass on it.

Hopefully you will get more replies as these deserve a serious look.

The additional photos were helpful but I am still not 100% convinced on these. A lot of work and detail went into them and they may be wartime as stamped. I own a pair from either 42 or 43 and there certainly are differences in the lining and the stitching.....but I can not account for every possibility of maker!

In my experience these pattern LW ISSUE trousers are far from easy to find. I would think that they would be common, but that is not what I have found to be the case. Bottom line is that I personally have not examined dozens of examples of these so I will wait to see if others have encountered a lining like these have.
