I have been trying to figure out the below shoulder board. Someone first suggested Kriegsmarine but it seems this might be a SS shoulder board. I would immediately discount it but in the chance of hope and that there are wear signs and that there were medals stuck through the shoulder board at some point. I want to see what the experts on here say. I believe this is dark brown which doesnt correspond w/ any branch... brown is concentration camp but its no dark brown.. If this is authentic then perhaps with age the color faded from something else.. The braid is also fairly shiny... this also doesnt indicate much to me.
