            The nco tresse is fine. The wearer was promoted and used what tresse was available to him.

              Sir, it was not unusual to have an early board with Luftwaffe tress sewn on first and later, Army tress used to upgrade the soldiers rank. It was done often. Nothing unusual at all. Dave.

                  In fact, I have had original Waffen-SS NCO shoulder boards with Luftwaffe tress, as stated earlier, anything available was utilized.

                    i do have seen and owned WSS boards with luft tress.

                      Agree

                      The old Reichswehr Tresse pattern was used by the Wehrmacht before and after the introduction of the diamond pattern Tresse. The Luftwaffe retained the Reichwehr pattern Tresse throughout the war.
