      I just recently purchased this nice shoulder board set. I believe them to be from the 21st Infantry Reg. of the 17th Infantry Division. From what I understand this division was along side the 1SS durring 1939 in Poland. I am looking for opinions on these and for any more information on this Regiment. Thank you all in advance.

        Very nice original straps!

        Stitched numbers are hard to find on NCO upgrades

        IR21 a Bavarian Regiment from the Munich region. Find more in the link below:

          The straps appear to have been sew-in types which were converted to slip-ons by the addition of crude "tongues". This practice was fairly common and they look to be period conversions.

            Thanks guys, there was another 21st IR strap in the lot I was bidding on with cyphers but I lost it . Thanks for the responses.
