Heer hbt tunic with late war printed eagle

    Hi all,

just wanted to share my latest find. Right out of the woodwork and absolutly untouched since the war. Slightly worn hbt tunic with original applied printed eagle. It also has the late war buttons with hollow back. The maker is faded but in certain light it looks to be E 44 or 45 but its more a guess.
I never had one with that kind of eagle before but its a nice variant to have.

Let me know what you think about it.

Very nice, I really like the combination of HBT and the printed eagle. I like the tabs mounting too, looks very original together. Congratulations!

              Aloha Jens,
Nice hbt w/printed breast eagle!! Was this a veteran acquired piece? I have one very similar to yours. I original posted in 2010 and again in 2011 on a half mannequin. The printed breast eagle has the same damaged area on the left wing, I assume it was from the gas mask shoulder strap running across that part of the chest (reason I shouldered the gm shoulder strap on the left shoulder not to damage it anymore). Again, super hbt!!!

Here's my hbt tunic with the same damaged area on the wing:

Thank you all for the comments.

My piece came out of a housecleaning directly from the family.

Good to see another one like this and even with the same damage area, thats crazy. Also great tunic of yours Rodney.

superb jacket and sound reasoning behind the gas can strap causing the breast eagle weathering!

It just amazes me as to the labor intensive details and quality put into these blouses, especially late war. More like a fine man's suite as opposed to a combat tunic; especially compared to modern equivalants !
