    Early Wehrmacht uniform setups

    Gentlemen,

I want to share some pictures of two of my early Wehrmacht uniforms. Both tunics were shown before on this forum, but the M 1934 had a repro eagle back then. I found an early eagle on e-stand and sewed it on in the correct way (top folded over, stitched by hand). The eagle looks to be placed too high, but that's where the 'ghost' of the original eagle is. Setup completed with a Reichswehr belt and one of the few decorations (next the 'flower war' decorations or sports awards) that could be seen on young WH soldiers in 1939-'40: the Westwall Medaille. Feldmütze has white Soutache that could be applied post-war.

M 1936 is completed with standard early WH belt and early brownish P08 holster. This NCO got his SA-sports award, that's all. I like these uniforms without decorations, brings out the smartness of the design. Hugo Boss?

classy tunics. one of the things most of the modern replica uniform makers cant seem to compute is the generous length of the originals...modest, stoic displays here. a good afternoon's work..?!

Still some holidays left on my calendar... This is just the way I display them in my study. I don't like full mannekins since that eerie scene in 'The Omega Man'
