Please help with trousers

Need help from someone who knows uniforms. I saw these wool trousers at an antique mall. The color is gray with hint of green. The inside marking is in black GE LM 79. Also the waistband is marked Ex. The white cloth tag is marked 78 42. Button down fly and black pipe on outer legs. No moth holes !! I think these trousers are WW2 German military but not sure. If genuine what is a fair price to pay? Thanks for helping out..........Harry C
