    hbt splittertarn hooded smock

    hi guys ,
i bought this one today at the belgian wings and wheels fair .
it is wel worn and the collors are faded .
some guys are overwelmed ,some are sceptic
in the book of Werner Palinckx there is one to but in plain cloth (not hbt)
feel free to comment ,these pieces are always good for discution because there are many (unknown) variants i believe...
the pictures do the collors no good ,but the smock "feels" good in the hands .
    greetings ,jo.

would be nice if someone explained what specifically was wrong ,to Jo.

I personally do not like the hbt material , plus the markings in the "wrong" location. jeff

              thank you

hi guys ,thank you for the comments .
if it is a fake there must be more examples around and so far i can't find any . i keep looking out for them . the hbt cloth is exactly the same as my hbt tunic ,so imo there is nothing wrong with the cloth... it is to bad that you can't feel it in your hands and smell it . pictures are always so diffirent than real life .
for the moment i have shown it to 17 other collectors and the results are
              - 7 negative
              - 6 positive
              - 4 have no clou at all
i am not giving up yet
              greetings ,jo.

see how the camo side does not show the herringbone pattern ( V-shaped weaving pattern)
this is how it should be !

i agree ,but i also must say that there are much items out there wich are rare and uncommon and even unknown until today ! sometimes we have to take our chance to explore new things . we all payed monney in the past to learn a lesson . the tunic for example i refered to in the book from Werner Palinckx on pages 128-129-130 is such an item and looks very simular to mine exept for the fabrik (mine is hbt ,his is smooth)
thank you for your comment boyouLaGleize ,greetings jo.

The buttons are bad, I pointed this fake out in 2008, and had a talk with the seller about the smock. I told him and he told me he would retrieve it from sale!
