sanitas battalion 24 & IR-102

Can anyone tell me if sanitas battalion 24 was part of the 3rd company infantry regiment 102 ? I am looking at a medical rock with chain stiched 24 on the boards that is unit stamped 3/J.R. 102

Thank you if I understand this right then this unit stamp would be correct for the waffenrock as IR 102 is part of the 24th infantry division ?

Yes, a lot of the battalion size units used the supply and other resources of the parent units so it is normal to see IR Gepruft stamps etc. in Medical Waffenrocks especially if they were assigned to those Rgts and Divisons. You also see this with Signals and Veterinarian items.
