Obviously, reenacting not only boost the fake items production, the fake photographs production too.

I know, an other endless discussion as is the subject of items restoration... sorry...

This is the photograph. Small one! So obviously someones tries to make masterpieces from reenacting photographs and is selling them as originals... Can't think of something else? Should I burn this photograph?

It's funny how several people who saw this immediately got the "something is off" vibe from it - nothing really stood out, it just didn't look right...

I think we spend too much time on this hobby!

I work with older photos and restoring images as well as digital cameras. The depth and focus and quality of the image give it away for me. I did not even look at the clothing until later, note the reflection in the eyeglasses and the crisp detail would be very unusual for anything short of a professional camera during the War. The also used photo shop to add speckles and aging etc.

Intriguing isn't it, that the biggest give away in this case are the faces, the looks, their attitude... that's something that is evidently very difficult to capture. Except perhaps for the bearded guy, he has done a great job I think (next time better not carrying an ammo case though).

I am not sure if they knew it when thy took the picture but it was common to carry and store medical supplies in ammo cans to keep things dry and clean in the field, sometimes you see cans with red crosses on them.
