Would be glad,if an experied collector would help me out about its originality.

I collect only SS cuffs, and their constructiin is different, so I do not have experiance in this pattern.

      Thanks for help!

        m-e-h-t,

I think what strikes me about the CT is that the lettering is very poorly executed. It is not unheard of, but not common to most hand embroidered originals. Coupled with the fact that it is on black for an officers panzer wrap, it would be an extremely desirable CT. I just do not think the bullion embroidery quality and precision are there. I do not see one letter that I would describe as perfect.

Sorry....and I hope I am wrong, and you have a photo of the vet removing it from a wrap.

          Hi M-e-h-t,

I would agree with Richard wholeheartedly. While he's far more experienced than I on these things, you typically see officer's bullion cuff titles like this with a high level of execution. There are numerous letters here which are conspicuously slanted one way or the other.

Doesn't mean it's bad - there are exceptions to nearly everything. But I think 9 out of 10 advanced cuff title collectors would probably pass on this example if they saw it for sale (or maybe 10 out of 10).

          Hope that helps,

          Jason

I saw that lettering problem, too, compared it with the one Weitze has actually for sale, and it looks similarly:

              Hi M-e-h-t,

I haven't seen the Weitz example, but it could have issues as well. Not everything in his inventory is 100%, just like other dealers.

I would share this with as many advanced collectors as you can, then make your own decision based on their feedback. In the end, you'll either feel comfortable owning it or you won't.

Not a good one IMO. The ends are sewn together in a strange way and I doubt it has ever been on tunic.
