My M36 feldbluse

HI gentlemen. I lately came in possesion of a nice M36 feldbluse. Would like to hear your oppionions, especially as for the insignia.

Eagle reapplied. Collar tabs look more likely to be originally applied but pics of the reverse of the collar would help. A rather big collar in any case. Tunic itself looks quite nice.

Why do you think the eagle is reapplied? Frankly, it looks quite good to me, altough some more shots of diffirent angles would be nice.

Eagle could be reapplied, tabs look quite convincing to be authentic and all insignia represent correctly a M39 tunic. The rather large collar is something normally associated with Uffz. tunics, although there appears to be never any litzen attached in this case.

The tunic looks good to me I really like the wear on this one and the eagle looks well applied although probably reapplied. I give it 2

Sewing is not up to par i.e. quality of stiching is below average. Eagle reapplied. Still a nice tunic though. Reapplied eagle should make it more affordable and is no biggy. A hell of a lot of tunics especially these EM tunics had their eagles stripped at the end of the war.

Hi. The tunic has some mothing throughout that didn't come out on the photos. Still I like it alot as it is original and not molested too much. Luckily for me it is of the size I was looking for, and just the early date I needed to complete my early mannequin. As for the eagle - I wouldn't be surprised if it was originally sewn, although I'm not trying to convince anyone - not an expert by any means. Just got is from a non- collector source... But again, I'm not convinced it is period done at all.

The quality of the sewing on the eagle definitely compares unfavourably to that of the rest of the tunic which is very neat and was, I would think, machine done.

The tabs are partially machine stitched and finished by hand. It would certainly be within the realm of possibility to see the national emblem applied entirely by hand at this date.

It certainly is not the fact of the hand stitching of the eagle that would bother me, at the contrary, just like Mike says. But I probably would have preferred to see it all in the same fashion, without the few larger/irregular stitches like the one stitch left to the eagles' feet for example.
Anyway, since the tunic apparently has some provenance, I would not worry much further about this "minor detail".

Nice original tunic. I would like to see more of the interior.

Tabs are nice, as is the eagle (although no solid evidence to say when it was applied).

It would look really nice if pressed properly.
