1941 Modified Tunic for an Unteroffizier

Hello All,

I'm looking into getting this tunic It's front a reputable dealer but have a few questions and want to confirm it with the group before pulling the trigger.

It's listed as an M40, but I believe it to be a 1941 modified Tunic, for an Unteroffizier. I believe this because of the 6th button added to the front opening.

It also appears that the insignia has been changed out. It seems this was possibly period done, but I'm not sure.

And finally, the tress on the collar seems to be done with some rather bright and fresh looking stiching... Am I paranoid or is this a little too fresh.

Any other opinions on the Tunic would be ace!

You are correct that it is a m41..

the wear on the tresse looks legit to me, but I understand your consearn about the white thread.. it might just be the pictures though as they are very bright..

I also noticed the way the eagle is stitched is also done on the reinforcement on the sleeve ends..

If I was the buyer I would give it a chance and inspect it in hand..

It has been seriously rebadged and I am not convinced it was all period done. Unless it is really cheap there are better ones going around. Jacques
