Artillery Parade Help

Hello All

I have an Artillery 'Gefreiter signals officer' Tunic
(on estand now, but thinking about keeping)

My main collecting interests are medals & paper items, but am thinking of making this tunic my first complete uniform.

My questions are about what goes with this uniform

Peaked cap or Helmet?

Brockade or buckle?

&

Are the top medal loops for a medal bar or ribbon bar?

I dont know about trousers either.


I may sound retarded, but any help or information would be greatly appreciated.

Hi, depends on what you want to display.

Walking out dress: Straight pants with red piping, low black shoes, ribbon bar on the loops, black belt with buckle (brocade belts were for officers only) and bayonet with knot, visor hat.

Parade dress: Straight pants tucked into jackboots, medal bar on the loops, belt with buckle as above but with ammo pouches and helmet.

No problem, we all learn day by day

I suggest - Visor, dress belt/buckle, shooting lanyard, medal bar and badge.
