I was shown this patch at a local auction on todays date. The owner stated that it had something to do with Luftwaffe Pilots before they were officially given the medal badge. He said he got it from a vet who was at Normandy and cut it off a uniform. Not known if the uniform was on a person or not. The thread is bullion style with a shiny metallic look to it. Sorry for the bad pics but I only had a iphone camera to take the pic. We both are wondering if this patch is legit and if so what would it be worth.
