The eagle looks to have been on this jacket for a very long time and has a nice deep set-in period hand sewing in the wool fabrik.

cant comment on the eagles application but this jacket overall is SWEET. hopefully its period applied. that would make it all the better. very nice though and good for you. Id love to get an NCO style like this. hard to come by. Glenn

Could have also been sewn over the impression in the wool that was left ,when the factory applied eagle was removed.




Replaced for me.

I agree it is replaced and IMO can see the impression of another eagle along the upper edge. Regardless a very nice tunic.
