a few eagles and other accessories (there were two more loose eagles but these are being re-sewn onto the jackets they were removed from).

Unfortunately there was no Soldbuch but it is hoped that the sister can find some items.

Congratulations on what looks like a very nice group of items.
Interesting that, from the pictures, the eagle’s head on the piped service dress tunic appears to be “reversed.”

Based on the various farbes, Artillery (red) , Cavalry (hot yellow) and enlisted litzen (white)
its all from various family members (as stated)...
The Red Artillery enlisted shoulderstraps are late M44 type...So at least one of the family
got in the war late...being issued M44 straps as a low ranking enlisted artillery man.

Hope all the Cav material stays together!!!

              Outstanding!!!

              Superb grouping!!!
Reiter-Rgt. 1 evolved into Panzergrenadier-Rgt. 21 of the 24. Panzer-Division. I wonder if this Leutnant survived Stalingrad and got the wrap after 24. PD was reformed in France? I hope you nail down some documents from the original owner. That would really be super!

Mike and all, thanks for the positive comments and I also hope that more comes out on this from the family. Here is a shot of the visor I did give away from the group which is now in very good hands (I won't show the top but it is almost stone mint). The seller, who is a good friend of mine and luckily does not collect cloth, knew what he had.

You split it up already? That's so sad.

                                Thanks

                                Jim,

Thank you. Note I used the original bolt of doe-skin which came with your grouping as a base for my photo.
