Unknown armband?

Hello Gents,

I don't know where to put this thread so i put it on this forum. I don't know where it was made. It looks like an armshield
Today i picked up this armband and it looks very nice wove. A bit like the bevo way.

It looks very old and it is very fragile and thin. It is about 7,5cm high and 14cm wide. The colours of the flag are red, white and blue (Netherlands or Luxembourg) The colour of the lion is a bit dark yellow.

Does somebody know what this is and what it has been used for?

I have one with a similar lion/griffen for Germans living in foreign countries.

Thanks for your input Gents but it looks almst the same only the shield on my example has 7 yellow/gold rectangles around the lion and the one from the Nederlandse Unie has six.
Does this make a difference ?

Richard your lion is a bit different. The colours are different and the lion on yours doesn't have a sword and arrows in his hand.

I'm almost sure my shield is Dutch but i don't know from which organisation yet.

IMO a circa WW2 Tobacco Premium, based on the
size and construction. Others may say different.
