Infantry officer DKIG tunic - Major Pz.Gren.Rgt. 119

    Hello,

a few days ago I got this Infantry officer Major tunic from a collector from Stuttgart. The city of Stuttgart was the former hometown of the famous Inf.Rgt. 119 (mot) - later Pz.Gren.Rgt. 119. The tunic had a lot of award loops, also one for a german cross in gold. The tunic shows light signs of use but is not named. Any comments are welcome.

    Regards,
    collani

that is an awesome tunic that anyone of us would love to have! Will look really sharp with all the medals on it and I love the breast eagle. Wish I had never sold mine that looked like this one. One of the nicest made during the period in my opinion. Matt

Yes an attractive infantry piece with a beautiful breast eagle. Based on these pictures, it would be welcome in my house.

Nice tunic. Is in the pocket a name tag?

                    Cheers,

They both look roughly like they are the same cut, you both should measure the sleeves, neck and back, it may be the same guy. That unit and rank etc. with a DKiG I would guess it could not be more then 3-4 officers. If the tunics are the same size probably the same guy.

Could be but a different array of award loops...First tunic looks like he had the EK1 from both wars .
