    Converted Dutch EM tunic

    Fellow collectors,
For review a nice Dutch EM tunic (mod. 1923) converted to a captain Jaeger. The tunic started as an Uffz Spiess and was 'upgraded' at some point to a captain Jaeger. Tunic has four added pockets and a converted collar. At the inside the tunic is stamped "40CM 2W". (1940, Centraal Magazijn) Eagle and Jaeger insignia looks original attached but i'm not sure. When i got the tunic the collar tabs were very sloppy atached and almost loose so i reattached them myself.
I think this kind of conversion is quite rare.
    Looking forward for your opinions

    Best regards

Very interesting conversion. It was a lot of work to modify the pockets to mimic German style.

Yes Mike it is indeed an interesting (high grade!) conversion. The pockets are made with the exact same fine (Dutch!) cloth the tunic is made off. Most Dutch conversions have only added lower pockets made from German cloth (so with difference in colour)
Since most Dutch EM tunics were converted and used by the Germans during WWII, unconverted Dutch EM tunics are extremely tough to find nowadays.
Seen the high quality of the pockets applying i think it was a privat order.
