All nice uniforms, congrats. I really appreciate the M43 that led the thread. You are right that they are uncommon and if you read my post (one of the last pages in the HG wrap thread) mentioning these early war eagles on later tunics I submit that they are even rarer because many smart collectors removed them in years past and corrected the tunics to textbook uniforms by replacing with later eagles.

teach a man to use the "search" function on the WAF and you feed him for a lifetime.

        greetings, glen
please show the lower pockets of the m43 that started this thread-from the photo angle it looks as if lower pockets have been period shortened...
as this thread is a glorious late tunic-early chicken frenzy, let me clarify my post re suggested period shortened garment as being the m43 thread opener pictured firstly-from the angle of pic it does indeed look like a (sadly) shortened m43

great! super lower pocket formation. great un-shortened tunic. congrats again and thanks for the detailing. by the way---i am interested in the fact that kraut feldbouses had so many size variations...a long bodied trooper got a correctly hanging field jacket, and so on....
what would really mash it insane on the feldbouse front would be to chart the full range of sizes these perfect critters came in...
