    Heer Flak shoulder strap slides.

Does anyone have any information on this Heer Flak unit? I have looked up the unit on the Lexicon der Wehrmacht and posted a thread in the Order of Battle; but, it has yielded no results.

    Thank you.

Hi Glen, I looked it up in Tessin at the library, two units match, one is Reserve Light Flak battalion and the other is light flak battalion 713

        Thanks

Thank you oracle of all things Nebelwerfer! I had even looked in Nafziger's book on Panzer and Artillerie and found nothing.

It was in the Tessin volume on Heer units. I live in the University library when not driving in a car. No oracle, I just remember where all the primary sources are.

I believe the winged shell device is strictly for Schwere Flak units.

              It's for Heeresflak Abt. 713.

              Regards

German Order of Battle book by US Army, 1944, lists this Flack 713 as a "Lt. Abt." I wonder if that means a searchlight battalion ?? Or a lighter caliber unit, lighter than 88mm, like a 20mm mobile unit.

                  There was a Marine-Flak-Abteilung 713

(I know the anchor is missing ... but that late in the war? )

Formed 5.44 in Swinemünde with 7 batteries.

Subordinated to Küstenbefehlshaber mittlere Ostsee, and from 1945 Seekdt. Pommern (3. Marine-Flak-Regiment).
