    M36 Opinions

I found this tunic on a web site. I'm interested in the item but the tailor/depot markings seem too big? Seeking opinions on this item. Thank you for any comments. Steve

    Hi Steve,

These numbers are not of the 'Jancke'-size. The available pictures leed me to say I don't see anything wrong up till now ...

Hi Bart. Thank you for the feed back. The tunic looks pretty good. However, I'm not familiar with this dealer. Question, do you think the price tag ($980) on this item is fare?

Opinions from the field on this matter are most welcome. Thank you again. Steve

        Hi Steve,
Peter is IMO one of the best dealers out there for original stuff. Nothing wrong with that tunic and M36,s are getting very hard to find.
At that price it is probably already sold,While the markings appear to be the later war digits (I cant make out the date after the ST) it could have been issued/reissued from existing stocks and stamped later in the war. Regards, Glenn

Steve: IMO I think the price is a little on the highside but not by much, considering I paid a bit less then $900 for an Officer M36 that had two small repaired holes and a scuffed up button.

Hi John, by my observations dealers always sell enlisted tunics by more high prices than officer tunics. And it is reasonable, because enlisted M36 tunics are much rare than M36 oficer tunics. So I think that the price lower than 1000$ is good price for M36 EM tunic in good condition, while the price 900$ is usual price for officer tunic, by which you can buy tunic in every moment.

That's a Very fair price for a m-36 tunic in that condition.
And I totally agree with Sergey regarding pricing, officer vs em tunics.
                Especially when comparing m-36.

Sergey can you please post a picture on the panzer officer for 650euro?
I cant see pics on Kai Winklers site...

Size numbers are definitely ok and"original"to the tunic,i.e. stamped when the tunic was first issued(when tunics were re-issued or sizes were altered the figures were usually over-stamped or stamped way lower).
Imo problems are in an other area;I agree with our friends when they say that the price, albeit a little high, is right but I've Got this feeling that eagle and litzen have been re-applied,which imo(and not mine alone) is often the case with tunics found in this site.

Thank you guys. I appreciate your feedback on this matter. I have been looking for a good solid M36 Jr enlisted tunic and this looks as if it is a real deal. Respectfully, Steve

                          M36

I contacted Peter at the collectors guild, and the tunic sold. The tunic didn't last long. I collect only M36 through M40(1) tunics. I should have gone with my gut feeling and bought it. I guess, better luck next time.

Thank all you for your advise on this tunic. I have not been with this forum long but I have learned an icrediable amount about collecting Heer uniforms and equipment, just by reading the feed back. Keep it up guys.

                          Again, Respectfully Steve

                          Cheers!
