Odd Army Breast Eagle

Here is a weird breast eagle that I bought from a vet estate a few years ago. I've not seen one of this type before. White Bird on green with white background. Is this just a maker variation or is it something special? Any help would be appreciated.

I have never seen this style or type of eagle before. I do not believe that it is an original 3rd Reich manufactured Heer eagle. Both front and back construction are nothing like a standard Heer eagle. It appears to be a reverse BeVo weave.IMHO.

In the 70s there were some really odd colored eagles that were supposed to be DAK. I no longer remember the details but some where sand colored. There were some original eagles on beige but not sure what they were used for.

I highly doubt this is a fake, came from a vet estate and everything was 100% right as rain, plus where are all the others?

I highly doubt that it is original no matter where it came from.

Just coming from an estate etc. does not make it original. Vets often bought repro stuff after the war as curio items etc. and items were sold in VFW magazines etc. I find things mixed with vet estates as "bring-backs" that are 70's cast fakes of awards etc. a couple times a year.

IMO, it lacks any real detail. The neck is terrible, inner wings are really bad. Also where are other examples just like it? Smitty

I also wondered that, which would make it an even worse fake, as it has 5 inner wing segments, mind you of different thicknesses as well as everything else that is wrong with it.
