Hello to all I need some opinions on this Tropical Luftwaffe DAK
cap eagle

To my knowledge these tropical 2 in 1 versions were not era produced by conventional scources for fielding. This does not rule out a private manufacturing.

Although a different color of eagle, these two examples appear to emanate from the same producer.

Additional guidance would be interesting regarding the credibility of these tropical combo traps if in fact a standarized production?

I noticed that example on the Duck and had considered posting as it's not something I remember seeing before, so I would also be interested in what others think.

There are some slight differences between the two but I don't care for these. The one that Bill Shea has kinda looks like a fat seagull and it just doesn't give me the warm fuzzies. I have a couple of pieces of Heer insignia that some would argue are maybe bs but they appear to be locally made based on some of the stuff I have seen and im happy with them and thats all that matters. I wouldn't want one of these in my collection, even if proven ok. They just don't look that great. Matt

Neither are genuine.

Both are fake and can be purchased for less than $20. Very poor eagle details; obverse and reverse.
