    Pioneer Waffenrock

Hi Guys, picked up this Pioneer Waffenrock, looks like the numbers on the shoulder boards were removed due to regulations.
Photo's are bad sorry, but looks like it was number 70.
Also it is stamped inside 170, which would be correct as the shoulder board button is 1, plus size stamps with E36.
Couple small pin size moth holes to one sleeve and back of the neck.
Any info on Pioneer Regiment 70 1st company?
    Thanks for looking.
    Regards,
    Gary

            I don't think the "170" is a unit stamp.

I do not either, the unit stamp is the one over the size and depot stamps. It is faint but maybe you can read it. The unit info is over the grade of the jacket which looks like "I"

                Over the "I" is Komp.1

Loop for one award and the back collar.
Forgot to add these pics, sorry.

Can it be for the photo reapplied eagle?

Hi Xisco, Eagle looks ok, i think, just a rough cut, machine sewn, and not through the lining.
                      Pioneer Wafferocks desirable?
                      Regards,
                      Gary

Thank for clarifying my question, it is necessary to to be an effect of light photo.

Hi Gary - my personal opinion is that NCO waffenrocks for pionier are not overly desirable or rare - they form the overwhelming majority of pionier waffenrocks that I have seen for sale recently. It took me much much longer to find a nice quality EM pionier waffenrock - for some reason EMs are much harder to find. Officer's waffenrocks are also more desirable, and interestingly I have found more officer's waffenrocks than EMs (though not as many as NCOs).

This is evidenced through recent e-stand sales - there have been a number of nice NCO pioneer waffenrocks on the e-stand in the last few months that have not moved (some are still there), or taken a long time to move, even though their prices were reasonable.

                          Just my thoughts.

                          BC

Can you post a clear picture of the straps showing the number area.
